Medicor Cancer Centres has pioneered a computer health record system specifically for cancer patients. This system is the first of its kind in Canada! Finally there is a way to make your vital health information instantly available to any member of your healthcare team (not just doctors)!

What it is?

Cutting-edge information technology is central to the Medicor Cancer Centres' care model. Our health record system consists of a proprietary electronic record-keeping system designed to capture the complex and varied aspects of care that a cancer patient may receive. It is further combined with a paper-based system for the utmost in flexibility.

How it Works

All Medicor Cancer Centres patients receive a handheld computer at the time of their consultation. We program the computer using our customized, record-keeping software and set it up with your complete medical history, including medications, allergies, blood tests, and imaging reports. This now becomes your “Portable Electronic Health Record” (PEHR™). This PEHR™ is yours to keep and carry with you wherever you feel your medical history will be needed. The PEHR™ will be updated regularly by us for patients who receive ongoing care.

1. Easy to carry: The PEHR™ is small and light enough to be carried in a pocket, purse, car glove compartment, or wherever is convenient.

5. Comprehensive: The record keeping system is designed to specifically capture the diverse and complicated aspects of cancer care ranging from cancer history to medications to imaging to complementary therapies to advance directives.
